The challenge
Coffee subscriptions confuse buyers: bag sizes, grind, frequency and mailbox-vs-parcel shipping interact in non-obvious ways. The brand wanted guidance that felt like advice, not a product filter. And it had to end in a real selling-plan add-to-cart.
What I built
- ✓A consumption slider driving a scoring engine (~1,200 lines) that rates candidate strategies on price, freshness, coverage, convenience and package efficiency, including a mailbox-delivery bonus
- ✓Recommendation resolves to a concrete variant + selling plan from the store's live selling_plan_allocations
- ✓Deep subscription-app integration mapping cart lines to prepaid/one-time plans so the cart drawer can swap plans
- ✓Cart-drawer upsells refreshed via the Section Rendering API, plus a taste-match quiz
